2021 marks the second year splitting the BANDIT into two distinct lines to allow for more versatility, depending on your riding style. While key features remain consistent, F-One are proud to have once again further developed through troubled times the BANDIT to offer you the quality gear you deserve on the water.
The BANDIT 2021 is extremely pleasing to fly whilst having a sporty feeling. Its behavior is direct and reactive as well as stable, smooth and homogeneous.
Its power is totally controllable and the kite is not physical to handle. Whether you want to park it and ride freely for hours or send it throwing some big kite-loops, the BANDIT will deliver.
This year’s BANDIT exceeds expectations in terms of shape control. You will not be bothered by unwanted movements coming from the kite. The new panel layout and new trailing edge reinforcement allowed to F-One to get a super sleek profile. This resulted in a stability in flight never reached before, providing full confidence and unmatched performances. The work done on the skin tension in the canopy makes the balance between stability and maneuverability perfectly even.
Going upwind has never been so comfortable. This year again F-One have worked on reducing the drag, and creating positive forward momentum allowing you to stay even longer on the water.
The BANDIT 2021 is very light to fly yet has a feedback incredibly direct. The kite consistently reacts to your demand, and you always know where it sits in the window. The turning of the BANDIT is quick and precise and remains totally controllable when de-powered.
The jumping potential of this year’s model is absolutely insane. Offering explosive vertical lift the kite has plenty of float to chuck in some boards off or old school moves. Loops are fast and you will always find the line tension and pull you’re looking for. Just pull on the bar and the BANDIT 2021 will generate power, fantastic kite-loops sensations and super smooth landings with no stalling.
The kite’s conception is exceptionally technical and the result whilst riding is impressive. F-One have reached new levels of stability making riding comfortable and safe no matter the conditions. They managed to get a way more homogeneous experience from low to high wind range with each size of the range. It crosses over to disciplines like foiling and even wave riding super well.

Technology
| DELTA C-SHAPE DELTA C-SHAPE technology design offers unmatched stability and steering response when fully de-powered, with the possibility of connecting the front lines higher on the leading edge of the kite. This shape was the result of a design research towards maximum optimization of the aerodynamic performances of the kite and of its depower. | BACK LINE TUNING How to adjust the settings? | SHEETED IN The back line is released and the forces go through the front connector. The bar pressure increases and the maneuvrability is less direct. It offers a very progressive bar with a feeling of a sheeted out back connector while we sheet in, therefore the pressure increases progressively. | SHEETED OUT The kite tilts and the back line stiffens. The tensions move to the trailing edge which has several effects: - less flapping - better start - maneuverability with less pressure. |

| SPIDER BRIDLE F-One have worked on a bridal system for the new BANDIT 2021. The Spider bridle is a multi point of connection well dispatched along the leading edge which offers a better control of the arc of the kite during the flight. The stability in all wind conditions is very impressive and pushes the high wind range to incredible limits. | ||
| TEIJIN 130G DACRON RIPSTOP F-One have built their kites for 20 years in the most state-of-the-art cloth from Teijin’s factory in Japan. They have developed the best technologies and quality material for the kites over the years. Teijin has worked on a few major developments with the double Ripstop on the canopy cloth and durability treatments. | The kite industry was lacking choice of cloth density. Kites could be build with a 52 gr per square meter for the canopy and about 160 gr for the leading edge, strut and reinforcements. Having only two choices was not easy because on some parts the 52 gr was too light and the 160 gr too heavy. After developments and tests with Teijin F-One can now use a new Dacron 130 gr double Ripstop on the 2020 kites. | By using that new 130 gr cloth, F-One have saved weight while keeping an excellent strength. The new BANDIT 2021 is more reactive and of course feels lighter, which is particularly important for the bigger sizes, in the light wind or for the turning speed during kite-loops. |
