The F-One Strike CWC handheld kite
F-ONE brings another breakthrough design with the STRIKE CWC and offers unique sensations in light wind conditions.
Nearly two years after the release of our first swing we have found the ultimate way to add surface to the wing without compromising lightness and performances. The new patented Compact Wing Concept allows adding more surface into a given wingspan. We have added 2 struts to the existing one offering the most compact shape on the market for the bigger sizes.
The first 3 trusts wing is not just a wing with 2 more struts. It has been a tough process to control the twist of the 2 struts and therefore the power and performances of this new wing. The high performances design we had in the rest of the STRIKE range and the incredible control of the cloth tension was a necessary base from which to start such an ambitious design program.
The two extra struts increase the wing’s surface without increasing the leading edge’s length and diameter. Once we were able to fit a 6m into a short 5m leading edge we were then able to build a 7m and 8m with the same concept.
The control of the leading edge’s length offer more rigidity in the canopy and the trailing edge is completely controlled, adding performances.
Because touching the water while riding is one of the big sizes issue, we have also worked on the tips profile. They naturally stay away from the water surface. If they do hit the water, their design allow them to glide over and not stop you as it would. This allows you to ride with your hands at a normal height and not with your arms above your head.
This new geometry brings great power with ease of use and therefore a super light feel with less wingspan. The wing is more maneuverable, easier to flip around when on the water. Pumping is super easy and gets you planning in no time as the wing tips don’t touch the water when you bend your arms. This unique compactness allows a very comfortable ride with big wing sizes.

| TEIJIN 130G DACRON RIPSTOP F-One have built their kites for 20 years in the most state-of-the-art cloth from Teijin’s factory in Japan. They have developed the best technologies and quality material for the kites over the years. Teijin has worked on a few major developments with the double Ripstop on the canopy cloth and durability treatments. | The kite industry was lacking choice of cloth density. Kites could be build with a 52 gr per square meter for the canopy and about 160 gr for the leading edge, strut and reinforcements. Having only two choices was not easy because on some parts the 52 gr was too light and the 160 gr too heavy. After developments and tests with Teijin F-One can now use a new Dacron 130 gr double Ripstop on the 2020 kites. | By using that new 130 gr cloth, F-One have saved weight while keeping an excellent strength. The new BANDIT 2020 is more reactive and of course feels lighter, which is particularly important for the bigger sizes, in the light wind or for the turning speed during kiteloops. |
