Description
Mitu is very meticulous and involved when it comes to his Pro Model. There’s no shortcut with his testing. His approach is fueled by a lot of curiosity and a very fine analysis on how the board operates. Totally focused from day one, he invests all his experience into the tests. Offshore, side-off, onshore, Ponta Preta, Kite-beach, surfing, jumping, the board must tick all the boxes to be this all-in-one ripping machine.
With the compact outline, the deep single concave remains the DNA of the MITU PRO MODEL which is known for its easy planing, sharp acceleration and great directional stability. The bottom features a channel at the front of the board to help while landing fins front.
The maneuverability is really impressive and takes advantage of a much refined rockerline. Travelling back along the bottom of the board, the concave fades progressively towards the back marking a rounded kick in the rockerline which further helps making the turns smooth and effortless.
Combined with some thin rails at the back, the fish tail remains the best compromise between planing, stability, turning and pop.
The range includes 5 sizes from 5’2 to 5’10 with the smaller ones having more focus on maneuverability and speed control, while the largest sizes have a bit more emphasize on the planing ability and general stability. All share the same shape features with their specific outline to make the most of the wave’s energy.
- The MITU PRO FLEX uses the HD foam flex construction where the ability of the board to flex has been emphasized to provide an outstanding comfort and an amazing feeling in the waves. Built with HD foam of various densities together with fiberglass and epoxy resin, this construction also features some deck stringers for more durability. The comfort while riding is further enhanced by the shock absorbers and the full pad.
The MITU PRO FLEX has some deck inserts built-in so they can be equipped with foot straps. They come with a thruster fin setup and a set of F-ONE FlOW RTM fins.
- The MITU PRO CARBON uses the HD foam carbon construction where the use of carbon fiber allows a lighter structure and therefore a lighter board to bring your strapless riding to the next level. Mixing HD foam with 45° bi-axial carbon fiber and some deck stringers for durability, we have designed a board that will fulfill the most demanding riders.Equipped with three Futures boxes, the board comes with a set of F-ONE FLOW RTM fins. Taking advantage of its light weight combined with its amazing shape, the Mitu Pro Model is probably the ultimate strapless board.
Technology
RTM TECHNOLOGY Mitu Pro Flex & Mitu Pro Carbon Series RTM technology stands for RESIN TRANSFER MOLDING. This process uses a closed mold to produce accurate composite parts. | The resin is injected in the mold after it is closed, with the dry fiber having been placed inside beforehand. The closed mold injection allows for great shape accuracy and the epoxy resin used make the fins stronger and more responsive providing a sharper feel on the water.
DECK STRINGERS Mitu Pro Flex & Mitu Pro Carbon Series As the strapless discipline develops and grows, so does the demands it puts on the boards. | With higher jumps and tougher landings, the stresses applied to the boards have migrated towards the rails and we have reinforced some of our constructions with lateral deck stringers to make the boards more robust in these areas. These stringers are not full depth to keep the flex and feel of the board.
HEEL SHOCK ABSORBER Mitu Pro Flex The deck has been recessed by 5 mm on a wide area underneath the front foot in order to add an EVA shock absorbing foam layer. | This foam layer absorbs effectively all impacts for the riders and makes the board even more durable.
HD FOAM FLEX COMPOSITE Mitu Pro Flex The introduction of this construction has marked a major change into the F-ONE surfboard range and especially on our three key products. | To face the ever higher constrains applied by the riders on their surfkites F-ONE has engineered a new foam composite construction with optimized flex for maximum reliability, comfort and manoeuvrability. The mechanical characteristics achieved by this construction provide a lighter weight and a perfect surfboard feel
HD FOAM CARBON COMPOSITE Mitu Pro Carbon Series This sandwich construction (high density foam + fiberglass + carbon) provides the boards with a strong resistance and a lighter weight. | The carbon fibers are laid +45° and -45° onto the board therefore avoiding any fibers at 0° to preserve the flex of the board whilst achieving higher mechanical performances. This construction improves the weight/resistance ratio of Carbon Series models which clearly feature among the lightest and best performing boards on the market. |
