F-One Rocket Stand-Up-Paddle convertible to foil

F-One experience of riding foils on Stand Up Paddle boards for the past few years has inspired to design the best possible board to Stand-Up-Foil. Being able to control the take-off from a stand-up position really makes things easier and this is why Stand Up Foiling is fantastic. It’s not only an easier step at the beginning and it also lets you charge steeper waves as you progress. The other key aspect is that on foil you’re flying far and coming back paddling on a Stand Up is a lot more comfortable than on a Surfboard.

The challenge when designing a Stand Up Foil-board is to keep all the volume you need to paddle, keep the stability and take off ability while taking away all volume and length you don’t need while flying. The ROCKET SUP is the result of all F-One experience in various waves and wind conditions from the Mediterranean waves to perfect reef break.

Short and narrow but still very stable thanks to the parallel outline, the ROCKET will let you take off from your usual Stand Up Paddle position and be super maneuverable on the waves. Coming down under the 7’0’’ length is a fantastic step when foiling and brings you closer to the Surf Foil feeling thanks to the compact shape.

To choose your size in this new discipline is easy, just look at the volume of your actual board and not the size. Go for a ROCKET SUP that’s equal volume or slightly higher than what you use normally. The foil mast adds a lot of stability so you can use a board which is narrower than usual.

The ROCKET SUP boards can also be used to Wing foil. So whether using a paddle or a wing, they are perfect boards to fly above the waves or ocean swell.

The twin track system with lateral spacing of 90mm is becoming an industry standard.
This system is compatible with all foils featuring a top plate with 4 fastening bolts. The length of the tracks enables some room to adjust the position of the foil on the board to reach everyone’s prefered balance.
For all surfers one of the inconveniences of a SUP is the large size of the rails, too big to dig into a turn. So, how do we make a sup with a thin rail without losing the volume of the board? The answer is the Beveled rail.
They are small flat lateral sections in V shapes, which allows us to reduce the thickness of the rail in certain sections (1). The other advantage is that they reduce the planing surface of the board (2) which therefore reduces drag. The combination of a thinner rail and slightly narrower width allows the board to get a better edge into the turns and a tighter arc.
The top deck of the board is lined with a layer of bamboo.
BAMBOO Sandwich technology
F-One SUP boards benefit from the BAMBOO SANDWICH TECHNOLOGY construction. Every layer of bamboo is sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass or between a layer of carbon. This allows the sandwich technology to emphasize the characteristics of the bamboo. The final result is a light structure that is super strong and extremely reliable.

More comfortable with advanced ergonomics, it is completely recessed and makes it easier to carry the SUP. The new handle helps a lot to grab the boards easily when lying flat on the ground or on the water.F-One Sup Construction Smart Handle Profil 585 0 0A groove has been added onto the thread of the valve so that you only have to unscrew by a few turns to let the air out. No need to unscrew it completely and therefore no risk to lose it.

To prevent from oversight and to make sure the decompression valve is always closed when the SUP is in the water, a reminder has been included: you cannot fit the tool back into its place nor can you carry the board if you haven’t closed the decompression valve. Furthermore, the tool finds itself clipped on in this position. This was made to ensure the board can be transported without losing the tool. You therefore don’t have to look for the last place where you left the tool and can be sure that anyone grabbing your board will notice that the valve is not shut.
